POINT ONLY PHOTO SHOWS: We offer both mail-in and online monthly shows. Horses may not enter both, but members are encouraged to enter each show with different horses. The shows are held Jan-Oct on the 14th of each month by volunteers. Entry to the shows requires a separate entry fee.
JUDGES: Our show judges are done on a volunteer basis.
We ask that all members who participate in the monthly shows, volunteer to judge one show per year.
Please contact the Show Coordinator to be added to the judge's roster if you are willing to judge a show.
We will have a drawing at the end of the year for all judges for a chance to win a $50 gift card. A winner will be drawn for both the mail-in shows and the online shows.
RESULTS: Show results are emailed to entrants, posted to the Facebook AMAHA Member's Group and posted to the website here. Please supply the Show Coordinator with your e-mail address to have your results emailed to you.
BENEFIT SHOWS: Members are encouraged to hold a benefit photo show for the club. The show may be online or mail-in and may be point only or awards can also be offered as well. Fees and FULL results must be sent to the treasurer/website editor.
NATIONALS: Held in November using same classlist as monthly point only shows. Entry fee is $1. Features Champ/Res/Top Ten named for each class. Only horses showing in the POS and AMAHA Benefits qualify for the Nationals.
To qualify, the shower must be a current member of AMAHA and the model must have placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in a POS or benefit show, under 2 different judges, for that year.
Qualifying in the GOS/POD class only qualifies the horse to show in GOS/POD class. Qualifying in any other class qualifies the horse to show in all classes.
MAIL IN PHOTOS: Mail-in photos should be standard sizes (4x6, 3x5). Printed digital photos MUST be printed on photo quality paper. Please have on each photo back: horse's name, age (if under 1 year), type/Half-Arab, gender, color, finish, classes entered, your name and address. Please sort photos by classlist before sending to judge.

Please make sure the back of your photos are correct and legible.

Entry into Mail In show train:
Entry fees are $10 per year.
Entries should be sent to the January judge who will sort and organize the photos for the show box. Please enclose a SASE with adequate postage for the return of your photos after the November National show is judged. Please make sure your name, address and email address is on the back of each photo.
Please be sure to have your photo backs organized, and easily readable. Write in your class numbers large and dark so the judge has an easier time with sorting.
SAVE and enter BOTH shows: Enter both shows for $18 per year!
Entry requirements for the Mail In & Online Nationals show: In order to qualify for Nationals, a horse must have placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in ANY class under at least TWO different judges. For example: Bint Sally wins 1st place under judge Becky Blunt at the March POS in the Purebred Mares class, and places 3rd in OF Bay Color under judge Katy Kellogg at the May POS. This allows Bint Sally to enter all her regular classes at the National show in November.
Mail In entries will be sent back to the owners after the October qualifier. Owners are then to sort out only their qualified horses and send on to the Nationals judge.
Online entries will be required to organize their photos in the online albums. Our Online Show Coordinator will post a list of all qualified horses prior to the National show. Members are encouraged to keep track of their own qualifying horses as well. Members are responsible for moving all non-qualified horses past the “tile” that is put in place dividing all qualifying horses from non-qualified horses in each class.
NO horses may show in BOTH the Online and the Mail In shows! However, each member is encouraged to show different horses in each type of show!
