registration
Registration is only available to current AMAHA Members.
All pure and part Arabians are accepted. Part-Arabs MUST be 50% Arab and should display some Arabian characteristics.
Registration is not currently required for Year-End Awards and Accumulative Awards. Registration is free and will be accepted via email or postal mail.
RULES FOR REGISTRATION: *Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for processing, thank you!
YOUR NAME/ADDRESS: At the top of the page, please state your name & address, plus your email address.
HORSE’S NAME: Can be no longer than 21 total characters (including spaces), and have no more than four parts (example: FL Ibn Arab Prince). Horses born before 2002 are limited to 17 characters and three parts
The only punctuation allowed are asterisks for imported horses (*) and hyphens (-). A stable prefix or suffix is allowed and common to distinguish ownership.
NOTE: You may now also change your horses' names, provided they have had no offspring. A name change requires a $1.00 fee.
AGE: can be aging ("foaled 2010") or non-aging ("9 years old"). Use 'W' for foals under 1yr, 'Y' for yearling.
GENDER: stallion, mare, gelding, colt, filly. Use 'stallion' and 'mare' for adults aged 3 or older.
COLOR: acceptable purebred colors are bay, chestnut, grey, black. You can then add descriptive terms such as "liver chestnut" or "dark bay" to it. Rabicanos and parti-color horses are acceptable, as are sabinos. True Roan does not exist in the purebred Arabian - your horse will be registered as rabicano.
For partbred horses, acceptable colors will also depend on what colors are found in the breed of the non-Arab parent. A purebred horse being registered as "buckskin" or "palomino" will not be registered as such, instead they will be registered as light bay or light chestnut. Noting the markings of your horse is not required at this time.
TYPE: For purebreds, that would be Egyptian, Polish, Spanish/Crabbet cross, etc. For partbreds, it would be Anglo-Arab, Arabian/Appaloosa, Quarter Horse/Arab, Arab/Paint etc.
Please note that “Pintabians” have special requirements to be included in their Registry -namely, the horse *must* be tobiano (overo, tovero, sabino, etc not acceptable) and the horse must also be over 99% Arabian.
FINISH: Please state whether your horse is OF Plastic, OF China, Custom China, OF Resin, Artist Resin or Custom (Repainted, Remade/Repainted, Remade/Repainted/ Rehaired).
MAKE/MOLD: State what type of mold your horse is. The factory number is not required, but if your model is a special run please make note of it. Example: OF SR BHR PAS.
SIRE and DAM: In the future, AMAHA would like to reintroduce the studbook, so we are asking for the names of the parents of your model. This is *not* mandatory! So if you haven't pedigreed your models yet, don't worry about it. If you do list them please indicate real horses with a ®, and *registered* model parents by an (m). If the parent isn't a purebred Arab, please state the breed(s).
Send registration requests via e-mail to Kate Goulbourn ([email protected]).
Please put "AMAHA Registrations" in the subject line so it doesn't get overlooked.
